Gallery Central
For this live student project, I designed and developed a Wordpress website for Gallery Central, North Metropolitan TAFE’s art gallery.
This project introduced me to several new concepts I didn’t have experience with before, including working with a complex premium theme and integrating a WooCommerce store and MailChimp newsletter form embed.
I was able to develop an understanding of these new concepts to create a modern, functional website that presented information to visitors in a dynamic way.
My project was chosen by the clients and successfully rolled out and handed over to them.
Note: The website design has had some modifications since the initial client handover.
Tools and technology used: WordPress, Bridge theme, Visual Composer (aka WPBakery), WooCommerce, MailChimp
In addition to the website, I also designed a new logo for the gallery. The new logo was inspired by the iconic pink shipping container that sits at the entrance to the gallery. The logo could also be interpreted as a sort of scope or the corner of a frame representing the nature of an art gallery.
